How To Change Your iPhone’s Default Web Browser
Monsta'd on January 8th, 2011
One of the biggest headaches for iPhone and iOS users who want to use an alternative browser to mobile Safari is the fact that they can never truly overthrow mobile Safari's reign as their default browser.

Browser Changer is another cool iOS tweak available for free on Cydia. This Mobile Substrate hack allows you to choose almost any other, third-party iOS web browser to act as your device's default mobile web browser. What this means is that any links you tap on, be it in an email, an SMS, or within another app - will open on the browser of your choice, instead of Safari. The most popular third-party browsers are obviously Opera Mobile (free) and Skyfire, but there are quite a few more available in the App Store. Browser Changer is pretty light-weight and can be tweaked in your main Settings.app.

when i do a spotlight search and want to click web, I still go to Safari after having installed and configured it…
Hey Otto, you’re right. Hopefully the devs update this tweak soon!
